We test for key liver enzymes including GGT and ALT which typically rise in response to obstruction of the biliary system or inflammation of the liver. Excessive consumption of alcohol can also result in high levels of GGT.

Before you book
Do I need to fast?
Tests that include glucose, insulin or cholesterol are best taken after fasting for 8 to 12 hours. Drink water as normal. Your booking confirmation includes clear instructions.
What is the difference between a clinic and a home visit?
With a clinic visit you go to a partner clinic near you. With a home visit, a qualified clinician comes to your home or workplace to take your sample.
When will I get my results?
Results for this test are usually ready in 2 days after your sample reaches the lab. We email you when your report is ready.
Who can see my results?
Only you, and anyone you choose to share them with. Your results are stored securely in your BioHealthcare Hub account.
