Why take this test?
This hormone test checks for common imbalances that underlie a broad spectrum of chronic illnesses. It will give you a very good indication of whether your thyroid is functioning normally or not, which can lead to tiredness, and mood problems. Hyperthyroidism happens when the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone.
This condition also is called overactive thyroid. Hyperthyroidism speeds up the body's metabolism. That can cause many symptoms, such as weight loss, hand tremors, and rapid or irregular heartbeat. An underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) is where your thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones.
Common signs of underactive thyroid are tiredness, weight gain and feeling depressed. The test includes central thyroid gland regulation and activity, thyroid production and secretion, peripheral thyroid conversion, and thyroid autoimmunity.
