Why take this test?
Your kidneys work very hard in cleaning waste products in our bodies. If kidney problems are the main concern, the creatinine levels in your blood are measured when your blood is tested including urea nitrogen levels. Creatinine is another waste product that healthy kidneys filter out of your body through urine.
High levels of creatinine in your blood may be a sign of kidney damage.

Before you book
Do I need to fast?
Tests that include glucose, insulin or cholesterol are best taken after fasting for 8 to 12 hours. Drink water as normal. Your booking confirmation includes clear instructions.
What is the difference between a clinic and a home visit?
With a clinic visit you go to a partner clinic near you. With a home visit, a qualified clinician comes to your home or workplace to take your sample.
When will I get my results?
Results for this test are usually ready in 2 days after your sample reaches the lab. We email you when your report is ready.
Who can see my results?
Only you, and anyone you choose to share them with. Your results are stored securely in your BioHealthcare Hub account.
